Welcome to Learning for Life Education Learning Pod

Louisville's Premier Education Program for Homeschool Families!

Your child will make friends, have fun, and feel confident in their learning!

Homeschool Support Designed for the Whole Child

Small Groups. Hands-On Learning. Individual Support.

If you want your child to make friends, be confident in their progress, and develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime... you’ve come to the right place!

Our warm, home-like environment sets the standard for how you’ll feel.

Our Learning Pod is designed specifically for homeschool families with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade who are looking for additional academic support, enrichment, and connection

in a small-group setting.

We work alongside what your child is already learning at home, providing supplemental instruction in core subjects like reading, math, spelling, science, and history. With intentionally small group sizes, children receive more individualized attention while building confidence, strengthening skills, and learning alongside their peers.

Inspired by the Finnish approach to education, our whole-child learning style values hands-on experiences, curiosity, movement, creativity, and meaningful learning over a one-size-fits-all approach. Children have opportunities to strengthen their core academic skills while also developing independence, problem-solving skills, confidence, and a genuine love of learning.

It’s the best of both worlds: the flexibility and individualized education of homeschooling paired with small-group instruction, peer connection, and a warm, supportive place to learn.

When should I call to register my child?

It’s never too early to call, so call as soon as you even think about registering, because our classes fill up ridiculously fast! We only take 10 students for this program annually.

When does school start? Can I enroll mid-year?

We have a 10-month school year (Aug.-May) and a 2-month summer camp (June-July). If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call us to see if we have any spots available.

How old does my child need to be to attend?

Microschool is for children age 6 and up through 3rd grade level -as well as developmentally ready 5 year olds.

What is your teaching philosophy?

We follow a “whole child” philosophy based on Finnish practices. We work with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Academic and Physical skills. Our curriculum is based on the NAEYC guidelines, as well as KY state elementary standards and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop learning skills through inquiry based learning and have an amazing time doing so OFF a screen!

Are there additional fees during the year?

No.  Your registration fee covers all your child’s supplies and reserves a spot in our program for the entire school year.  Your child won’t pay anything to attend our field trips and activities. And your family can come for free too! Your child will also receive at no extra cost: a preschool shirt to wear on Spirit Day and a graduation portfolio!

What if my child has food restrictions?

No worries.  Several of our students have food intolerances or severe allergies.  We simply ask all families to not to anything nut related. All families to bring in their own snacks, and we hold dearly to a nut-free classroom policy at all times.

Is the registration fee refundable?

No.

How many students do you have per class?

We have the smallest class sizes in town so your child gets lots of 1-on-1 time. We only have 10 students per class.

How do I register my child?

Follow our simple 3-step process below to register your child into our Learning Pod!
