How it works

Check Out Our Premier Program!

Learning for Life Education Learning Pod is considered a tutoring agency by the state. Students at LLE must be registered as homeschool students to enroll in this elite elementary age program. LLE will provide instruction, report cards, portfolios etc. regarding all core subjects for children age Kinder to 3rd grade (expanding soon) should the family so choose.

Core subjects or competencies as we call them at LLE are: reading, writing, spelling, grammar, mathematics, science, history, and civics

*Learning for Life Education is not responsible for over all homeschool records or reporting to the state. Parents/Caregivers will still be responsible for tracking total school hours of 1065 per year. LLE will supplement on avg. 450 of those hours and provide documentation and records of learning for the time a student is present in the program.

When should I call to register my child?

It’s never too early to call, so call as soon as you even think about registering, because our classes fill up ridiculously fast! We only take 10 students for this program annually.

When does school start? Can I enroll mid-year?

We have a 10-month school year (Aug.-May) and a 2-month summer camp (June-July). If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call us to see if we have any spots available.

How old does my child need to be to attend?

Microschool is for children age 6 and up through 3rd grade level -as well as developmentally ready 5 year olds.

What is your teaching philosophy?

We follow a “whole child” philosophy based on Finnish practices. We work with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Academic and Physical skills. Our curriculum is based on the NAEYC guidelines, as well as KY state elementary standards and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop learning skills through inquiry based learning and have an amazing time doing so OFF a screen!

Are there additional fees during the year?

No.  Your registration fee covers all your child’s supplies and reserves a spot in our program for the entire school year.  Your child won’t pay anything to attend our field trips and activities. And your family can come for free too! Your child will also receive at no extra cost: a preschool shirt to wear on Spirit Day and a graduation portfolio!

What if my child has food restrictions?

No worries.  Several of our students have food intolerances or severe allergies.  We simply ask all families to not to anything nut related. All families to bring in their own snacks, and we hold dearly to a nut-free classroom policy at all times.

Is the registration fee refundable?

No.

How many students do you have per class?

We have the smallest class sizes in town so your child gets lots of 1-on-1 time. We only have 10 students per class.

How do I register my child?
